Hiking with a purpose: Solbeg goes green for Earth Day!
This April, our amazing Solbeg team took part in an eco-friendly hiking event, held as part of Solbeg’s annual Earth Day initiative.
What is plogging?
Plogging is a sustainable fitness trend that combines jogging (or walking/hiking) with picking up litter. Originating from Sweden, the term merges “jogging” and the Swedish phrase plocka upp (“to pick up”). It’s an engaging way to care for your health and the environment at the same time — and we at Solbeg are proud to support it.
This year’s event was held in the scenic surroundings near Warsaw and was open to employees and their guests. Participants gathered in the morning, equipped with gloves, eco-bags, and good vibes, and set off on a 5 km hiking route, picking up trash along the way.
But this wasn’t just a walk in the woods. It was a conscious journey, following the core principles of eco-tourism:
- Leave no trace
- Respect wildlife
- Clean up as we go
- Sort and separate waste properly
♻️ Our collective impact in numbers:
🟢 13 bags of sorted recyclables (plastic & metal)
🔵 11 bags of glass
⚫ 10 bags of mixed waste
Why it matters?
This event is part of Solbeg’s ongoing sustainability program, which includes annual eco-activities that bring employees together for a cause that goes beyond the office. It’s our way of giving back to the environment, and showing that each small action can make a big difference. Check out the photos below:

Big thank you to everyone who joined the initiative and made a real difference! Let’s keep up the momentum and continue supporting eco-friendly habits — one step at a time.
