Saving Nature Step by Step: the Solbeg Team shares the Results of Plogging in honor of Earth Day
What is Plogging?
Plogging is a sports and environmental movement founded in Sweden in 2016. Its goal is to collect litter during outdoor sports activities such as running or walking. This not only allows you to maintain an active lifestyle, but also to contribute to environmental protection.
At Solbeg, we don’t just talk about caring for our planet — we act! We believe that each of us is responsible for preserving the environment and has the opportunity to contribute to this important process. That is why we are actively involved in various initiatives aimed at protecting nature and improving the environmental situation.
The video message from the founder of the Plogging movement was a real inspiration for us. We heard words of encouragement and gratitude from Erik Ahlström, who not only wished us luck in our efforts, but also expressed deep gratitude for our contribution to conservation. His words were a source of confirmation that our efforts matter and are appreciated in the highest circles.
Solbeg’s Path to Nature Conservation
Our journey to actively protect nature began with diverse and inspiring experiences. We didn’t just decide to embark on a path of caring for the environment but found many ways to contribute to this important cause. Starting with exciting eco-kayaking adventures and awakening interest in plogging since last year, we have seen the power of our combined efforts in conservation.
Our goal is not only to clean our planet of garbage, but also to preserve its unique corners for future generations. We aim to save not only the beautiful forests and parks, but also the little inhabitants such as bugs and other life forms that significantly affect the ecosystem.
A short interview with Paweł Grzonek, Solbeg’s Administrative Director, gives our engagement even more confidence and support.

— How did the idea for this project come about?
In our company, there has long been a tradition of celebrating Earth Day. We’ve organized various eco-activities: eco-kayaking with river clean-ups, tree planting, and more. Last year, we decided to try something new and, inspired by the Plogging movement, organized our own corporate plogging event. The success of the event was enormous, so we decided to repeat it again this year.
— What has changed in your attitude toward ecology after this event?
The desire to pick up trash everywhere and always awakened, even on a regular walk with the dog. And you begin to understand the words of Eric Ahlstrom: “It’s not my trash, but it’s our planet”.
— What’s the most unusual trash you’ve found while plogging?
Ohhhh, a lot of unusual things! But the most memorable thing this time was two hubcaps from car wheels, as if someone in the middle of the forest had been making crazy turns and lost them. Last time the guys found a completely new pair of white sneakers and a cool leather jacket.
— What is your main goal in organizing this event?
To have a good time with the team. (Smiles…) But primarily, of course, to engage people from the issue of ecology, starting with the employees of our company. And when people see the full extent with their own eyes, they inevitably begin to take a more responsible approach to consumption and, in general, caring for nature.

Let’s talk about the results of our initiative, which have brought concrete and significant changes to the environment. We proudly announce that our cleanup efforts yielded over 350 kilograms of waste! Among which were 130+ bottles of various types, 70+ cans, and a huge amount of mixed trash bags!

Join us in our quest to make the world a better place for all its inhabitants! Contact us today to find out exactly how you can contribute to the protection of nature. Whether it’s supporting our initiatives or developing new environmental projects together, the possibilities are endless.
