The grand bike tour Bikes4SDGs organized by The United Nations to support Sustainable Development Goals took part on September 21, 2016, in Naliboki Nature Reserve. SolbegSoft acted as an official partner and sponsor of the significant event.
Bikes4SDGs united more than 500 people from 35 countries, and became a platform for SDGs advocacy, intersectoral cooperation, and local development. The event featured bike ride, picturesque canoeing, guided nature walks, open-air concerts, local cuisine tasting, educational games for children, and other exciting activities.
Bikes4SDGs became the epitome of equality and partnership, bringing together political figures, celebrities, people with disabilities, sport professionals and amateurs, and everyone who is concerned about protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all.
Many honorable persons representing diverse sectors of the society took an active part in the event: Mr. Sanaka Samarasinha, the UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative; Andrea Victorin, Head of EU mission in Belarus; Alexander Shamko, Belarusian Minister of Sport and Tourism; Oleg Slizhevskiy, Belarusian Minister of Justice; Natallia Tsylinskaya, Belarusian athlete, an eight time World Champion and an Olympic medalist in cycling; Vladimir Potapenko, the Chairman of Belarusian Society of Persons with Disabilities; as well as attachés of different countries, major international, state, and public organizations, representatives of multiple industries and business areas. SolbegSoft team as well took active part in the biking tour and canoeing route.
SolbegSoft is glad to become partners with the UNDP, supporting a set of goals aimed at preserving the planet's resources and the welfare of all people. By becoming a partner of Bikes4SDGs and taking an active part in the event, we wanted to show that each of us should strive to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. We can ensure the well-being and sustainable development in the world only by joint efforts.
